Dubai Supreme Council of Energy endorses 2024 Energy & Sustainability Summit
The Energy & Sustainability Summit is scheduled to take place at the Habtoor Grand Resort JBR, Dubai on 7 March
The Dubai Supreme Council of Energy (DSCE) has endorsed the 2024 Energy & Sustainability Summit, the Big Project Middle East editorial team has confirmed. Eng. Faisal Ali Al Rashid, Senior Director – Demand Side Management at DSCE will open the event with a keynote address ‘The Roadmap to Decarbonise the Building Sector in Dubai’ covering existing and new buildings.
The DSCE plays a critical part in policy development, planning and coordinating with concerned authorities and specialists, to make Dubai a leader in the efficient management of electricity and water demand, and reduce energy and water consumption by 30%.
The Energy & Sustainability Summit is scheduled to take place at the Habtoor Grand Resort in JBR, Dubai on 7 March. Attendance to the event is complementary but mandatory via registration here – spaces are extremely limited. The 2024 event will be the third edition of the event, which was first launched by Big Project Middle East in 2022.
The event’s agenda will focus on several key themes including: how construction and energy stakeholders can make a tangible difference in the journey towards Net Zero post COP28; sustainably sourcing and responsibly disposing of end-of-life assets and materials; transitioning to sustainable, locally sourced materials that can turn buildings and cities into carbon sinks, the rise of waste-to-energy facilities, and looking beyond solar to decarbonise the MENA region’s energy sector. The event will also shine a light on the challenges of greenwashing.
