Equipment giant FAMCO (Al-Futtaim Auto & Machinery Company) has announced a Construction Equipment Seminar (CES) to show off new developments in its key construction equipment lines, with Volvo Construction Equipment, Merlo and Doosan Portable Power all on show.
To be held on Wednesday, 17th of September at their mega-site in Dubai Investment Park (DIP), the event is ready to welcome customers, engineers, project managers and equipment procurement managers.
A delegation from Volvo CE in Sweden and their Middle East regional office, as well as FAMCO Construction Division team members, will offer information about construction equipment concepts, as well as features and benefits of the machines.
Ahmad Halwani, FAMCO’s regional general manager – construction equipment, said, “Events like these help us showcase our leading Construction Equipment brands and allow our customers to speak directly to our product specialists and principals. This is the 2nd such seminar we have arranged this year and these events have been quite successful.
“Through this event we also hope to showcase our state of the art facility at DIP, so customers can know the investment we have done in supporting their equipment through aftersales, workshops and maintenance.”
A large number of machines will also be on display, including a Volvo CE backhoe loader, skid steer loader, and a range of crawler excavators and wheel loaders.
The A35F articulated hauler will also be on show. Volvo artic haulers have been put to good use on key job sites across Saudi and the UAE, and the A35F is powered by a DH13-B engine, generating gross power of 329kW, with a load capacity of 33.5 tonnes, and 20.5m³ heaped capacity on the standard body (or 21,4 m³ with overhung tailgate).
Key features are its high-powered hydraulic steering, and a ‘brake and dump’ system with a single button to put the truck into neutral and apply the service brakes. The dumping action is powered by double acting single-stage hoist cylinders for easy rising of the fully loaded body even on very steep grades.
Other models displayed at FAMCO’s site will be the Merlo P40.17 panoramic telehandler and several Doosan air compressors, and both of the brands will also have representatives at the event.
