AECOM promotes Ben Agyekum to director and head of PCC in KSA
Agyekum will lead more than 100 members of staff within AECOM Arabia’s cost consultancy business
AECOM, the internationally known infrastructure firm, has announced the promotion of Ben Agyekum to director and a head of Program Cost Consultancy (PCC), based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In a statement, AECOM said that Agyekum will lead more than 100 members of staff within AECOM Arabia’s cost consultancy business, ensuring that clients receive a professional and quality service on all projects that the being delivered.
Rick Hopper, Operations Director, AECOM Arabia, said: “This move from the UK to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will allow Ben to contribute to the Crown Prince’s 2030 vision to transform the Kingdom’s physical, social and economic infrastructure by building key relationships with clients and delivering excellence across the Middle East. Not only will this generate a number of opportunities across the region but also create future opportunities for generations to come.”
With over 28 years in the real estate and construction industry in the UK and internationally, Ben’s extensive experience in feasibility cost planning, procurement and value engineering will continue to develop infrastructure projects across the Middle East and drive business growth.
Prior to his new role in KSA, Ben was the Business Unit Lead for Commercial and Retail Developments in the UK and a member of the London Commercial Leadership Board within AECOM. Having delivered award-winning projects such as Liverpool One in the UK, Ben has a good understanding of the drivers and challenges that arise when delivering major mixed-use developments including commercial offices, residential, retail and leisure with the associated infrastructure in place.
