The ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has ordered the immediate delivery of the houses built for the second phase of a Mohammad bin Rashid Housing Establishment (MRHE) project in Dubai.
The homes are part of a 1,240 house project in the Al Barsha district of Dubai. The $380 million project began in 2008 as part of the Muhammed Bin Rashid Establishment’s commitment to implementing the Dubai ruler’s ambition of building “decent and comfortable living standards” to citizens. Construction of the newly released homes was started in February 2009 and covers a total area of about 29ha. The cost of the second phase is estimated to be $74 million.
Barhan Al Habai, assistant executive director for Architectural Sector said the project is 77.9% complete and is expected to be completed in 7 September 2014.
MRHE is a public governmental establishments of corporate personality, aiming at providing the appropriate housing to the nationals of the emirate of Dubai, by providing all the services related to housing the nationals under one umbrella through the various alternatives, such as granting residential plots, governmental houses, ready houses, maintaining and extending the current houses, giving housing loans as per the policies and standards adopt by the Establishment.
