Salem al Moosa, chairman and CEO of Falconcity, said that the project was part of a plan to ‘engrave Dubai’s place in the minds and hearts of the world’s citizens.”

He added that the Taj Arabia would be three to four times larger than the original and would also incorporate its famous Mughal Gardens and other architectural landmarks.

It would be part of a wider project comprising of various residential and commercial buildings, including a mega retail hub that will include a jewellery souq and wedding boutiques.

“Land of India will represent a key attraction in Falcon City as it includes high-end hospitality and commercial facilities that are set to host some of the major events in town,” said al Moosa.

Arun Mehta, the chairman of the Link Global Group, who is developing the project, added that the replica will serve as a wedding venue for couples in the UAE. Furthermore, he added that Bollywood producers had expressed an interest in using the project as a filming location.
