Dubai Creek Harbour homes ready to be handed over in early 2019

6sqkm mega project is nearly twice the size of Downtown Dubai

Emaar has announced that the Dubai Creek Harbour will welcome its first residents early in 2019. The developer notes that the finished homes will be located in Dubai Creek Residences, within the Creek Island Dubai district. The latter will eventually house as many as 33,500 people.

The developer notes that the district will deliver ‘a never-before waterfront lifestyle in the heart of the city, only 10 minutes from the Dubai International Airport and the iconic Bur Khalifa, as well as overlooking the Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary, home to rich mangroves and migratory birds including pink flamingos’.

According to Emaar, Dubai Creek Residences is a six-tower residential development with 872 residences. The project was one of the first to be launched within the master-development, and is said to be located between a yacht club, pools, a marina and a boulevard.

The developer states that all six towers feature panoramas over Dubai Creek Harbour and Downtown Dubai. Nearly 90% of the construction has been completed for hand-over in the first quarter of 2019 and more than 4,000 residents are expected to take possession of their properties, the developer said.

Emmar notes that work on supporting infrastructure is progressing to schedule with access from the Ras Al Khor already in place. Three bridges will also connect Creek Island Dubai to the mainland.

Speaking about the development in greater detail, Emaar pointed out that the Creek Marina will also be home to the Vida Harbour Point, a 286-room upscale lifestyle hotel that is said to be similar to harbour hotels in cities such as Singapore and Shanghai. The hotel is expected to open in 2019.

Emaar added that work on the other residential developments launched in Creek Island Dubai are progressing on schedule as well. The developer said that the 500 apartment Creekside 18 is scheduled for completion in the first half of 2020, with over 40% of the construction completed.

Additionally, Harbour Views, which comprises 762 apartments, is also on track to be handed over in the first half of 2020. Over 36% of the construction work is completed, while nearly 20% of the work has been completed on Creek Horizon, which offers 556 apartments and is due for handover in mid-2020. The Cove, a low-rise waterfront sanctuary, with 276 apartments is also on track for delivery in the first half of 2020.
