ECC secures $84mn contract from Nshama for Town Square Dubai project
ECC will lead and deliver on Design and Construction basis for the project
Engineering Contracting Company (ECC) has revealed it has been appointed to lead on the $84.4 million contract for the design and construction of the UNA apartments in Town Square Dubai by Nshama.
Spanning over 90,350sqm, UNA Apartments will require design and construction of two G+2P+9 storey buildings and is a mixed-use development with numerous retail areas on the ground floor, said ECC in a statement. ECC will provide its dynamic engineering solutions to oversee and lead on the project’s design and construction for a planned period of 25 months.
The main consultant on the project is With Al Wasl Al Jadeed Consultants appointed as the main consultants on the project, UNA Apartments will be a lifestyle residential community featuring retail areas, 192 studios, and 764 one-bedroom apartments. It has intended to appeal to “fast-paced entrepreneurs and creative minds seeking a collaborative, sustainable, and urban hub providing a holistic living environment,” said ECC.

Quoting recent data from BNC Networks Farah said there are over 10,000 urban development projects underway throughout the region with the UAE accounting for over half of the active projects across all segments compared to the rest of the region.
“With urban development accounting for a large proportion of the projects, there is a clear need for industry players to differentiate their offering and diversify to remain competitive in our challenging market,” he concluded.
