Dubai JLL, Mace to support UAE’s 2020 World Expo bid
Firms expected to help with feasibility studies and cost management and planning
Property consultancies Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) and Mace have been selected to support the development of the master-plan for the proposed site for the UAE’s 2020 World Expo in Dubai.
JLL has been mandated to conduct a feasibility study, which includes the development of a long-term land use plan that provides a sustainable development strategy for both the Dubai Trade Centre-Jebel Ali site and surrounding areas.
Mace is expected to help with cost management and planning, as well as working closely alongside the bid master-plan architects to develop the overall scope of the project.
The appointment of the two firms will complement the skills and expertise of the international architectural and design firms currently working on the site master-plan, said Helal Saeed Al Marri, CEO of the Dubai World Trade Centre and member of the Higher Committee for Hosting the 2020 World Expo in Dubai.
“We continue to strengthen the team leading the master-plan development of this specialised, highly connected 438-hectare site,” said Al Marri.
