Jumeirah Luxury Living (JL) has announced that it has inked an agreement with Dubai Carbon Centre of Excellence (DCCE). The move is part of the JL’s strategy to support Dubai’s green vision for sustainable development.

Under the agreement DCCE will provide support and guidance on the Jumeirah Luxury community, in an effort to lower carbon and greenhouse emissions. Jumeirah Luxury is located in Jumeirah Golf Estates (JGE), and is a collection of 291 attached villas and townhouses. The $272m project is scheduled for completion in late 2019.

“Jumeirah Luxury Living is committed to supporting energy management, not only as part of the Dubai Integrated Energy Strategy 2030, but for the benefit of our residents. This approach will ultimately allow them to cut their energy bills as well as live in a cleaner, fresher environment,” stated Walid El Dawy, CEO, Jumeirah Luxury Living.

The agreement is said to be one of several initiatives that JL has implemented, to provide sustainable living for its residents.

Dubai Carbon Centre of Excellence, CEO Ivano Iannelli added, “Dubai is focused on promoting sustainable development initiatives in order to transition to a low-carbon and green economy. Jumeirah Luxury Living is a key partner for Dubai Carbon, and will help us achieve our goals as part of the Dubai Integrated Energy Strategy 2030.”

JL says Jumeirah Luxury will give residents a luxury lifestyle at the heart of Dubai.
