Construction industry to meet at Smart Infrastructure Summit

The role of technology key to the progress of the GCC’s infrastructure plans

The first ever GCC Smart Infrastructure Summit, which will be held on April 26, 2017 at the Habtoor Grand Hotel in Dubai, will bring together the regional construction industry to discuss and debate the use of technology in the GCC’s infrastructure development plans.

The region’s infrastructure market, ranging from transportation networks through to energy strategies and national level growth programmes, is estimated to be worth US$ 400 billion. This necessitates efficient delivery of projects, to budget and within strict timeframes – a challenge that will be discussed at the Smart Infrastructure Summit, hosted by Big Project Middle East.

According to Gavin Davids, editor of Big Project Middle East, “In a region that is always keen to embrace the future, the Smart Infrastructure Summit is a major opportunity to learn and discuss how infrastructure technology and innovative thinking can shape the regional economy. This comes at a particularly critical time, with GCC countries looking to diversify from an oil-reliant economy, resulting in an unprecedented level of government spending within the Gulf.”

Bringing together more than 200 delegates, the Smart Infrastructure Summit will feature speakers from the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, the Ministry of Infrastructure Development, the Roads and Transport Authority and a number of key decision makers, influencers and experts from construction and infrastructure development firms from across the GCC and beyond.

Attendees can also take part in CPD certified workshops that have been integrated into the conference agenda and will take a look at pivotal technical issues influencing the way Smart Infrastructure is used in this region.

The Summit is free to attend. You may register by completing the online form at: http://smartinfrastructuresummit.com/
