A $354 million comprehensive development plan for the Hatta area in the emirate of Dubai was launched by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, reports WAM.
The plan aims to boost the area’s social and economic attractiveness as a world-class environmental tourist destination.
It will cover three key areas, including the economic and service sector, tourism and sports, and culture and education. A dedicated board will oversee the plan and coordinate among various government entities, according to the announcement.
“The Hatta development project is part of the UAE’s development plan which is on track to achieving ambitious objectives across the economic, social and cultural sectors that aim to serve the needs of the citizens and the nation,” Sheikh Mohammed said.
