Excavator depth monitor suitable for any job requiring accurate bottom measurements
US-based Ocala Instruments has introduced an excavator depth monitor that would fit any excavator or backhoe.
The ExcaVision is suitable for any excavation job requiring accurate bottom measurements, such as basements, footings, sloping trenches, and foundations, the manufacturer said.
The new multi-lingual device also eliminates the need for an assistant, whose duty is to measure the depth of the excavation.
It allows the operator to monitor the depth, slope and width of the work, producing proper excavations and eliminating the safety hazard of working around deep holes, and reducing overcuts and undercuts, according to the Florida-headquartered company.
