International Business Council reveals partners for Leaders in Design MENA

The Leaders in Design MENA summit will be held on November 15-16 in Dubai

The International Business Council, host of the Leaders in Design MENA summit, has announced the strategic associate partners for the fifth global edition of the event.

The partners include the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Middle East, the Association of Professional Interior Designers (APID), the Middle East Council of Shopping Centres (MECSC), Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Gulf Chapter, and the Emirates Green Building Council (GBC).

Tannar Whitney, President of AIA Middle East, commented on the partnership saying, “The AIA Middle East’s participation in the 2015 Leaders in Design MENA summit aims to foster stronger ties between the AIA members, regional architects and institutions in the collective interest of elevating regional design through sharing best professional practices and understanding market trends.”

Saeed Al Abbar, Chairman of the Emirates Green Building Council, said, “The initiative behind the Leaders in Design MENA summit aligns with Emirates GBC’s objectives for capacity building for the industry and we join the summit’s efforts to highlight the importance of the MENA region in a global business and economic landscape. We look forward to supporting Leaders in Design MENA summit and anticipate a successful event.”

The Leaders in Design MENA summit will take place on November 15-16 at the Ritz Carlton, JBR in Dubai.

Topics to be addressed include sustainable design, the future of design, cultural diversity, ‘secrets behind a successful design firm in the MENA Region’ and ‘envisioning the hotel of the future’.
