Abu Dhabi Ports sets annual cargo record in 2015

Abu Dhabi Ports set a new annual cargo-volume record in 2015, surpassing the previous record set in 2014, according to state news agency WAM.

The master developer and operator of the emirate’s ports and Khalifa Industrial Zone, KIZAD, witnessed a “significant surge in volumes” during the year across container cargo, roll-on-roll-off (RORO) shipments, and cruise tourism, it was reported.

There were also increased investments in the Khalifa Industrial Zone, WAM said.
