Dubai’s Tecom Investments says it will deliver an additional 2 million square feet of office space by year-end, to cater for what it says is increasing demand for business facilities.
The new space will include 11 buildings in Dubai Design District (d3) and three in the International Media Production Zone.
The company also gave updates on projects including the Creative Community in d3, which will be home to art galleries and studios, which it says will open in 2018. The Creative Community will also include flexible offices, co-working communal facilities, outdoor display venues and pedestrianized spaces.
Tecom also said that the 1.8 million square feet Innovation Hub in Dubai Media City will be completed in the first quarter of 2017. That is set to include working spaces, boutique offices, retail areas and hotels.
The company added that it will be rebranding as Tecom Group, to better describe its portfolio of projects and investments. The announcement, set to be made at Cityscape Global, will mark Tecom’s first rebrand since it launched in 2005.

Tecom Investments now comprises the largest number of free zone communities in the region, with 10 within its portfolio.
