Al Hamra Real Estate Development (AHRED) has announced that its AED250 million ($68 million) Bayti Homes residential project at Al Hamra Village in Ras Al Khaimah is nearing completion.

Finishing works on the development are scheduled to begin once structural and block work is complete, with 80 homes set to be ready a month ahead of time in November 2015.

The Bayti Homes project comprises a total of 162 three- and four-bedroom villas, which will be LEED-certified. Green features in the development will include LED lights, solar water heaters and solar street lamps. The project is part of the approximately 7.1 million sqm Al Hamra Village in Ras Al Khaimah, which includes over 1,000 villas and town homes, nearly 2,500 residential apartments, five hotels, an 18-hole golf course, a marina and shopping mall.

The first Bayti Homes released to the market last year were sold out in days, the developer said in a statement.

A focus group was organised for local residents to visit two mock-up villas in the project. Feedback gathered from the group has been incorporated into the final stages of construction, according to the statement.
