Hilton Worldwide and UAE-based Wasl Hospitality and Leisure have announced agreements to open two more mid-market hotels in Dubai – the Hampton by Hilton Dubai Al Mina, and Hilton Garden Inn Bur Dubai.

The agreement comes after the recent Middle East debut of the mid-market Hampton by Hilton brand. It was revealed in April that Hilton and Wasl would join forces to launch the first hotel under the brand, the 420-room Hampton by Hilton Dubai Al Qusais.

Rudi Jagersbacher, the regional president for Hilton Worldwide, said the new signings will add to the global hotel chain’s footprint in Dubai, which he said “is expected to more than double in the next few years with primarily mid-market hotels.”

Both the new properties are scheduled to open in early 2019, adding nearly 500 rooms to Dubai’s mid-market inventory, Hilton Worldwide said in a statement.

The Hampton by Hilton Dubai Al Mina, the second hotel under the brand, will be located near the Dubai International Airport, and feature 206 guest rooms. The 292-room Hilton Garden Inn Bur Dubai will be located close to the Dubai Creek.

Other Hilton Garden Inn hotels in the works include properties opening this year in Dubai’s Al Mina and Al Muraqqabat, as well as one adjacent to the Mall of the Emirates, expected to open in early 2016. A fourth hotel in Jadaf is slated for completion in 2017.
