Hard Rock International, in collaboration with UAE-based firms Abu Dhabi Financial Group and Sheffield Holdings, is set to launch its first hotel in the Middle East next year.

The Hard Rock Hotel will be located in the Marina 101 development at Dubai Marina, the American hospitality company said in a statement.

The 281-room hotel will occupy the first 33 floors of the 101-storey building, slated to be the second tallest in the UAE upon completion.

The US-based brand already has a presence in the UAE, operating the Hard Rock Café in Dubai Festival City.

“As an ongoing effort to continue expanding the Hard Rock Hotels portfolio, we are thrilled to announce Hard Rock Hotel Dubai Marina with experienced partners like the Abu Dhabi Financial Group,” said Hamish Dodds, chief executive officer of Hard Rock International.

“We are pleased to bring the Hard Rock Hotel Dubai to the Marina 101 development at a time where Dubai’s tourism sector is experiencing continued rapid growth…We were seeking an iconic global brand boasting the same irreverent spirit as the destination it represents and found that in our collaboration with Hard Rock,” said Jassim Alseddiqi, chief executive officer of Abu Dhabi Financial Group.
