Louis Berger opens new office in Doha

Louis Berger officially opened its new Doha office  with its guests of honor, US Ambassador, Dana Smith and US Embassy Senior Commercial Officer, Robert Dunn.

Louis Berger began its Qatar operations in 2009 with a handful of employees. Today, the headcount is approximately 340, including support and project employees executing multiple government and private sector projects.

“This office expansion will allow us to support our booming employee numbers and to successfully manage the delivery of over $10bn in construction works” said Belal Deiranieh, Louis Berger vice president and country director. “We expect to double the number of employees by 2016, to complement our project pipeline.”

Louis Berger has a long term commitment to the Middle East and North Africa region with more than 1,000 employees, and offices located in Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait.

In addition to the company’s expansive growth in Qatar, Louis Berger’s growth within the region has been impressive with a 200% increase during the past two years under the client-focused leadership of Thomas Topolski, executive vice president and managing director for Middle East North Africa and D. James Stamatis, president for Louis Berger’s international operations.
