DSE wins $22.4mn contract for Abu Dhabi healthcare project
Drake & Scull Engineering to provide MEP services for upcoming hospital
Drake & Scull Engineering (DSE) has been awarded a $22.4 million contract to provide MEP services for a healthcare project in Abu Dhabi, the firm announced.
Winning the project boosts DSE’s total awards in 2014 to date to about $1.5 billion, DSE said.
“With the projected increase in UAE’s population as a result of the upcoming growth in the real estate sector due to the 2020 Expo, the demand for critical and quality healthcare is at an all-time high,” said Ahmad Al Naser, Managing Director of Drake & Scull Engineering.
“MEP systems play a crucial part in core infrastructure of hospitals and other medical facilities, and DSE’s strong engineering skills and healthcare experience play a vital role in our medical projects. The medical facility in Abu Dhabi is a welcome addition to our growing projects portfolio and we hope to continue to help provide essential services to the MENA population,” he added.
Other healthcare projects DSE is currently working on include the Al Dara Hospital, Dammam University Hospital, and the King Fahad Medical City in Saudi Arabia, along with the Maliha Military Hospital in Sharjah and Danat Al Emarat Women and Children’s Hospital in Abu Dhabi.
