RWI to supply insulation for Sustainable City in Dubai

Dubai-based Diamond Developers has awarded a contract to Rubber World Industries (RWI) to provide building materials for its $300 million Sustainable City project in Dubailand.

RWI, a manufacturer of rubber insulation products, will provide $653,000 worth of materials for the development, including its Gulf-O-Flex range of products.

Diamond Developers’ Sustainable City project is scheduled for completion in 2015. The 464,515.2 sqm project will feature 500 villa units, in addition to a green belt with 20,000 trees, a water canal, and a 55,741.8 sqm solar park.

The consulting firm for the project is Al Ajmi Engineering Consultants, while the contractor is Jeet Contracting and MEP works are being handled by Sun Middle East Electro Mechanical Works LLC.

“The ‘Sustainable City’ project has positioned itself as one of the country’s leading green development projects. Its completion is expected to inspire the development of similar environmentally friendly communities in the UAE and the rest of the region,” said Rizwan Shaikhani Managing Director of Rubber World Industries.
