The RTA will open two new metro stations in Dubai soon.
Al Jaddaf and Creek stations will begin operations from Saturday, the 1st of March 2014. As part of the RTA’s integrated network plans, the new stations will link to Dubai Festival City via abras, water-buses and water-taxis.
“The stations will also serve Dubai Festival City through operating a marine transit service linking with the Creek station,” said Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of RTA. “Al Wasl Club will also be linked with Al Jaddaf station through a bus route to be operated when matches are held.”
‘Al Jaddaf and Creek stations are among the elevated Metro stations where the concourse and platform are on the upper level of the elevated metro track’, said a report by Gulf News.
The announcement regarding the unveiling of Al Jaddaf and Creek stations follows earlier statements by the RTA, when authorities claimed both the Green and Red lines on Dubai Metro would extend by more than 50KM by 2020.
