“Dubai Municipality is delighted to carry out this project in tune with the dream of the Dubai Ruler to provide citizens sufficient and high quality housing facilities,” Eng. Lootah said. He further added the Municipality would ‘hand over the houses to a number of Hatta residents as a gift from the Ruler’.

Each villa in the project will have six bedrooms, a maid room, a Majlis and a hall, besides the other components of residential villas. 29 of the total 32 will be constructed with ground and first floors over an area of 330sq.m; the remaining three will be single-storeyed units, constructed over an area of 165sq.m.

All buildings have been designed bearing in mind the green building concepts, which also apply to government buildings, and extra attention has been devoted to the use of solar energy for external lightings and water heating. Design elements have been implemented following Hatta’s unique building-features, and Eng. Lootah also hinted more developments may be planned in the locality.
