Pentair’s joint venture with IDC establishes its local presence in the UAE

Pentair Ltd announced the signing of an agreement with International Development Company (IDC).

“Pentair is excited by this unique opportunity to work with International Development Company in what will be the company’s first joint venture for industrial valve and pump services in the United Arab Emirates,” said Ramesh Nuggihalli, vice president and managing director for Pentair in the Middle East.

“We are already committed to local manufacturing within the UAE and see the expansion into services as the natural progression of our business offering to our local customers,” Nuggihalli added.

Pentair is a water, fluid, thermal management, and equipment protection company headquartered in Switzerland. Abu Dhabi-based IDC’s expertise includes oil & gas, power & water and industrial projects, besides others.

“The local presence of a highly experienced global manufacturer provides our customers with significant advantages for safely maintaining critically important process and protection equipment,” said Faysal Urfali managing director of International Development Company.

The agreement establishes a local presence between the two companies to service vale, actuator and industrial equipment in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi.

“We are pleased to have signed our agreement with Pentair, and are eager to fulfill the huge potential that exists for industrial services within the energy sector,” Urfali added.
