Three new construction projects have been announced in Dubai’s Al Furjan and International City communities.
Nakheel, the developer responsible for both communities, recently awarded three contracts with a combined value of $153.2mn for the communities.
Ginco General Contracting was awarded the first of the three agreements – the company will undertake the construction of 249 homes for a contract valued at $84.5mn. For a contract value of $58.6mn, United Engineering Construction will build 152 homes in the communities. The completion period for both projects will be due in 18 months.
Under the third agreement, Metac General Contracting Company will build a new community retail centre at International City. With a contract valued at $10.01mn, the 79,000 sqft shopping and dining facility is expected to be complete in 12 months.
