SSH to provide construction supervision services for cultural project in Oman

Located in Al Seeb, Muscat, the Sayyid Tarik bin Taimur Cultural Complex will create a nationally significant cultural destination on a 400,000sqm site

Consulting firm SSH has been appointed as the construction supervision consultant for the Sayyid Tarik bin Taimur Cultural Complex project, in Oman. The cultural destination is being delivered under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth in the Sultanate of Oman.

As per the terms of the contract, SSH will provide comprehensive supervision services throughout the project’s delivery, overseeing construction activities, monitoring quality, and coordinating with specialist sub-consultants. It will also collaborate with stakeholders to support the successful delivery of the complex cultural development, the company confirmed in a statement.

Located in Al Seeb, Muscat, the project will create a nationally significant cultural destination on a 400,000sqm site. Centred around an urban plaza, the development will bring together a range of nationally significant cultural and institutional facilities, including the 23,000sqm National Library, the 15,500sqm National Archives, 4-facilities buildings with a combined area of 14,000sqm, and a 5,000sqm Energy & Data Centre.

At its heart is the National Theatre, comprising 1,000-seat and 250-seat auditoriums, all set within landscaped gardens, water features, and a signature canopy structure, the statement concluded.
