Volvo CE launches new mobile app for used equipment

Up to 40% of searches for used equipment are carried out on mobile devices – smartphone or tablet – and that’s why Volvo CE has launched a new mobile app for locating used equipment for sale in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA region).

The app can be used to find details of all the used equipment that is available, as well as the contact details for the sellers. This will give potential buyers access to to the entire stock of Volvo Used Equipment in the region, said rental and remarketing director for Volvo CE in EMEA, Nick Rose.

The app also features a dealer locator search function for participating Volvo CE Used Equipment Dealers in the EMEA geographies and a specific ‘Volvo Approved Used’ search function.

“We know that more and more customers are searching for used equipment by way of mobile devices. Up to 40% of current searches for used equipment are via mobile devices so this app puts Volvo CE and our dealers in a prime position to meet this need in relation to used equipment,” said Rose.

Rose said he believes that the shift in the way customers search for and purchase used equipment will be “fundamental”.

“Via the App customers will be able to contact the specific dealer holding the equipment remotely. As they will be dealing directly with the dealer they will also potentially have access to other dealer offerings such as finance or even warranties.

“Accessible in 25 languages, the Volvo Used Equipment App provides instant access to the live database of used equipment, both Volvo and non-Volvo, available through the participating Volvo dealer network in the EMEA geographies.”

The app is currently available as an Apple download, with an Android version soon to follow.
