Land Cruiser for Dubai Taxi fleet

SUV available for Dubai Airport’s VIP services

Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) recently announced it will add Toyota’s Land Cruiser to its limousine fleet in the city for use by Dubai Airport Taxi. This is the first time a large SUV is included in the fleet of an airport in the UAE.

Two black Land Cruisers will be added to Dubai Airport Taxi’s VIP limousine fleet after DTC signed an agreement with Al Futtaim Motors, the exclusive distributor of Toyota vehicles in the UAE.

Vehicle handover was completed earlier this week in the presence of Ahmed Al Suwaidi, CEO of the Dubai Taxi Corporation and Jon Williams, managing director of Al-Futtaim Motors.

“Since it was first introduced in the UAE back in 1955, the Land Cruiser has played a pivotal and decisive role towards the inception, development, evolution and eventual leadership of Al-Futtaim Motors – Toyota in the UAE,” Williams said.

DTC has been a long-time customer of Toyota vehicles in the emirate with its taxi fleets consisting of the Toyota Camry’s regular and electric versions.

“The addition of Land Cruiser vehicles to our VIP airport taxi fleet introduces a brand new product in our services portfolio and is a testament to our continuous efforts to provide an exceptional and outstanding transportation experience to all of our customers,” Al Suwaidi remarked.

The two vehicles will be introduced during the first phase of the VIP services at DTC. The starting fare for VIP taxi services will be $13.
