FAMCO launches Linde reach trucks at Materials Handling 2013
New trucks on show at Material Handling Middle East
FAMCO (Al-Futtaim Auto and Machinery Co. LLC) has launched the new Linde Reach Truck Series at this month’s Materials Handling Middle East 2013 exhibition.
The new Linde reach trucks set a new standard in the industry for safe handling of loads, productivity and economic efficiency, said FAMCO managing director, Paul Floyd.
“Through the launch of this new truck which provides our customers with the most advanced technology, versatility and cost effectiveness, FAMCO will be showcasing a standards-setting materials handling solution for the most demanding of uses.”
The truck’s features came about from analyses of today’s warehouse logistics, whereby increased lifting speeds, higher lift heights with increased residual capacities are achieved.
Visibility is maximised while ensuring operator safety via armoured overhead guard glass. The overall design concept ensures premium operator comfort, significantly high output and total safety for the operator.
FAMCO is an associate sponsor of the Materials Handling Middle East 2013 expo in Dubai.
“This exhibition is the ideal forum to network with our peers and position FAMCO as a material handling industry leader,” said Floyd.
The trade fair, held in Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, was inaugurated by HE Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the RTA, who was accompanied by senior representatives from the government, public and private sector.
“The show is much larger than the previous one with exhibitors from 20 different countries,” said HE Al Tayer at the opening.“The UAE currently has a lot of large projects underway such as the extension of Dubai international Airport, the Al Maktoum airport as well as ports and other projects. So do other countries in the GCC and the wider Middle East. Exhibitions like Materials Handling Middle East support the growth of the vital warehousing and transportation industries and are crucial to supporting that growth.”
Other leading equipment sellers exhibiting at the show included GENAVCO, which introduced the STOW Atlas Pallet Shuttle System, and Kanoo Group.
“Our participation in Materials Handling Middle East 2013 reinforces our aggressive business strategy for future growth by putting us into direct contact with consumers and decision makers to drive immediate sales of the products,” said Asif Khan, GENAVCO’s head of equipment business unit.
