MAN Truck and Bus has delivered 240 trucks to Saudi Arabia’s dairy industry giant al-Marai, as it MAN’s Saudi dealer expands its service network.

Al-Marai has a current fleet of 1,290 MAN long-haul trucks, which it use for distribution of its chilled foods and dairy products, single-handedly operating the vehicles around the clock to deliver heat-sensitive perishable goods to the entire Gulf region, as well as Jordan and Egypt.

Al-Marai had already ordered a major number of trucks for its fleet in 2009.

MAN also secured a second major sale in KSA, delivering 200 TGS tractors with TipMatic automated gearboxes to Global Specified Transport. The first 100 trucks of this batch have already been handed over in July.

The TGS trucks are specially designed to meet the requirements of the Middle East regions and are thus optimally suited for the climatic conditions in the extreme heat and sand of the desert.

With the increase in business and of the market demands, Saudi’s MAN Truck & Bus distributor, Haji Husein Alireza Co. (HHA), has announced plans to build three new service centres in the cities of Jubail, Madinah and Khamis Mushait.

HHA also improves it country-wide coverage by strengthening its mobile service fleet.
