Al Mafraq Hospital development improves communication

Al Habtoor Leighton Murray Roberts, the joint venture behind the Al Mafraq Hospital development in Abu Dhabi, has partnered with project management software provider Aconex to improve communication and document management on the project.

“From previous projects, we know that using Aconex will support on-time delivery by improving communication and document management,” said Graham Aubrey of Al Habtoor Leighton Murray Roberts JV

“Having been designed specifically for the construction industry, the system is intuitive, resulting in high usage across the project team,”  Aubrey added.

The online software enables all project participants to access, distribute, track and archive their information in real time, using one central system.

“On a project of this scale, with a compressed schedule in place, it’s vital that project members can communicate efficiently and have the latest documentation at their finger tips. Aconex will enable this,” said Aconex general manager in the Middle East, Andrew Killander.

“In a project’s early stages, our clients typically see reduced printing and distribution costs. As their project progresses, they often find the risk management benefits of our technology increasingly important. By having a central archive of project data, with an audit trail of every transaction, using Aconex reduces the risk of disputes, information loss and delays. In addition to providing considerable peace of mind, this can help to protect bottom line,” Killander added.
