Four models of single rollers ranging from 7 tonnes to 14 tonnes will be sold in the Middle East

Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) has shown its new range of compaction equipment in the HHI yellow livery.

The 12 tonne HR120C-9 is one of a series of single drum rollers that HHI is now selling, after signing a strategic partnership with German construction equipment manufacturer Atlas Weyhausen earlier this year.

Under the partnership, four models of single rollers ranging from 7 tonnes to 14 tonnes will be sold in the Middle East, as well as a 2.5-tonne and 3-tonne tandem rollers, all built by Atlas Weyhausen. The machines will inititally be released in emerging marketing including Middle East, Turkey and Russia

The HR120C-9 is powered by a Deutz engine, generating 96kW. Its operating weight of 12,000 kg includes a front axle load of 6,900 kg and a rear axle load of 5,100 kg. Compaction capacities from its 2100mm-wide drum include a static linear load of 32.80 kg/cm, a max amplitude of 1.8 mm, frequency range of 30-40HZ, and centrifugal force of max/min 240/170kN.

HHI sends 80t long reaches to Jeddah

In other company news, HHI has sent two 80-tonne long reach excavators to the Jeddah South Thermal Power Plant construction site in KSA.

The giant excavators are being used to carry out work on the site’s 5.5-km-long seawall. The long reach excavators have a boom length of 10.80 m and arm length of 7.15 m.

HHI is building the 2,640 MW oil-fired thermal power project on a turnkey basis including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, testing, and transferring in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
