Design leadership programme launched in KSA
The initiative aims to equip Saudi design professionals with key people and project management skills
The Saudi Architecture and Design Commission (ADC) has announced the pilot edition of its Design Leadership Programme 2024, as part of its Educational Enrichment Programs Initiative.
The programme, which runs until 8 June, is aimed at enhancing the students’ leadership capabilities through a comprehensive online curriculum, complemented by additional programme components.
Announcing the launch, ADC said the initiative was designed for young architecture and design professionals with 3-7 years of experience, who are currently in leadership positions, managing teams of 2-5 people or more.
The applicants should be residents of Saudi Arabia, working in one of the architecture and design disciplines, and proficient in English.
The programme’s objectives are to offer architecture and design practitioners opportunities to develop leadership skills, enrich the practical application of leadership with real-world examples and best practices, and promote collaboration within the Saudi architecture and design community. This is also the first initiative of its kind in the GCC, aligning with the tremendous emphasis on leading-edge design in the Kingdom’s current and future crop of giga-projects.
