Bahrain seller celebrates 8 decades of Fuso trucks and buses
Zayani Motors (ZM), the exclusive dealers of Mitsubishi in the Kingdom of Bahrain, has celebrated the 80th anniversary of the birth of the Fuso trucks and buses brand.
The celebration, at the ZM headquarters in Sitra, took place in front of the first Fuso canter that was sold in Bahrain by ZM, which later it decided to buy back from the customer, and retain in the company’s premises.
“We are very proud of the success that Mitsubishi Fuso has achieved over the years, through the sales records on the trucks, buses in addition to the light vehicles, and the satisfaction of the customers,” said general manager of the company, Mohammed Zaki .
“80 years has passed since Mitsubishi had successfully manufactured the Fuso canter, through all those years, this brand has formed a base of a wide range of happy and satisfied customers which stands out for its high fuel efficiency and optimal total cost of ownership,” he added.
The first generation of the Fuso Canter truck came on the market in March 1963. Fifty years and eight generations later, Daimler is celebrating the truck as a best-selling hit with global sales of over 3,700,000 units since the market launch in its home market Japan.
The light-duty Fuso Canter truck is the flagship of the Daimler subsidiary, Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC), and is in demand by customers in more than 150 countries around the world.
Zaki noted that ZM is committed to the goal of being number one in Bahrain.“One focus of our growth strategy ‘FUSO 2014’ is to be ‘Number One’ with customers, especially in the Bahrain market. That is why one main task is to offer our business partners the most fitting products, solutions and services.”
