Emaar launches new walkway at Dubai Creek Harbour
The structure stands 11.65m above the water level and is a 26m-long cantilever that projects out over the water
Emaar has announced the launch of its new walkway, The Viewing Point, at Dubai Creek Harbour, a 70m structure spanning out over Dubai Creek that offers visitors spectacular views toward Downtown Dubai and back inland.
In a statement, Emaar said the structure is a key part of the Dubai Creek Harbour masterplan and has been designed to blend in seamlessly with its surroundings. Standing 11.65m above the water level, the structure is a 26m-long cantilever that projects out over the water, providing unobstructed views across the creek.
“It’s positioning at the end of one of the area’s most populated pedestrian walkways will ensure significant footfall to one of the city’s most creative structures and one which will allow time for stunning photography and videos clips – it is perfect for anyone looking for that idyllic Instagram post, whether you are an in-demand influencer or someone who simply loves snapping on a phone,” said a company spokesman.
In mid August 2022, Emaar said it was buying out Dubai Holding’s stake in Dubai Creek Harbour for $2.04bn and, in mid September 2022, Emaar investors approved the Dubai Creek Harbour acquisition.
The structure’s design has already proved a talking point with residents and visitors alike and is perfect for friends and families to gather and take in the beautiful surrounds or bask in the sensational sunsets to be enjoyed from Dubai’s newest vantage point, he elaborated.
The design and build of the bridge have been executed using a painted steel to give its final effect and the unique overall appearance of this one-of-a-kind architectural piece, he concluded.
The Viewing Point is an extension of the Grand Creek Harbour development and access to it is free.
In mid November 2022, Emaar Development said it recorded its highest-ever property sales of $6.31bn in the first three quarters of 2022.
