The Filipino truck driver who is alleged to have caused the explosion in Riyadh that killed 23 people survived the crash and is currently being questioned by Saudi authorities. Robin Kebengwas reported to have attempted to beat the red light, causing the vehicle to slam onto the structure along Khurais Road in Naseem District, killing another Filipino driver and injuring 12 others in the process. While a criminal investigation underway, Philippine Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ezzedin Tago said that he is not aware of any charges having been filed against him yet. The accident took place on Thursday morning on the Khureis road after the truck reportedly veered into a bridge pylon, causing a gas leak that spread out and then burst into flames, destroying nearby cars and severely damaging a showroom belonging to Zahid Tractor.
