Kanoo Machinery has been been given the title of DP World’s Vendor.
General manager Bob Jennings was presented the award at a special ceremony held at DP World-Jebel Ali in Dubai.
The accolade was awarded to Kanoo Machinery in recognition of its exemplary performance and contribution towards DP World UAE’s regional success in the year 2012.
A survey revealed that Kanoo Machinery was the premier supplier in terms of total transactions; the second supplier in terms of total value of business done in terms of DP World’s purchases in 2012; and the fourth highest supplier in terms of overall evaluation.
Mohammed Al Muallem, managing director, UAE Region and Esam Khoori, director-procurement, contracts and materials management of DP World presented the award to senior management representatives of Kanoo Machinery, including Shakil Merchant divisional sales manager – UAE, Praveen Hubli aftermarket sales manager – UAE and Nabil Al Tawil, sales manager – Dubai.
Jennings called the award a “momentous event for Kanoo Machinery” and in particular for the Dubai Branch and Parts Team “for their collaboration in achieving great customer service thus strengthening relationship with DP world.”
Kanoo’s brands include Grove, Hyster, Perkins, Bobcat, Tennant, Massey Ferguson, Lincoln Electric, Norton, Ausa, Sullair, Beach Tech, Aisle-Master, Hitachi, GEDA, Sakai and Utilev. Products from these Principals are marketed through dedicated product specialist from sales and aftermarket who are available in all the five branches (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Sharjah and RAK) in the UAE.
