CTE boosts AWP production
Middle East demand helps CTE grow
The Italian aerial work platform (AWP) manufacturer CTE has boosted its monthly production, and in May produced 101 platforms, a record for the company.
For the first five months of the year, CTE boosted production by more than 36%, with 440 aerial platforms produced.
For the end of this year, CTE is forecasting an increase of 30% or more than in 2012, when the company’s production totaled 1000 units.
CTE has seen increasing interest in its products, including major orders from the Middle East. Last year it won a deal to sell 266 aerial work platforms to the municipal authority in Northern Iraq, a deal worth more than $12.6 million.
Sales have also grown in Italy, especially of self-propelled platforms and track mounted spiderlifts.
New products presented last year and earlier this year have also helped the growth, said the company, including truck mounted articulated aerial platforms, the ZED 23 JH and ZED 20.2 H and HV, representing CTE’s aim of increasing the basket capacity to 300kg at 20-23m working height.
“The signs of rapid recovery of the market in the last period is increasingly strengthening CTE’s perseverance in finding the right solutions for the global market,” said the company.
