Omnium expands main board with the addition of Fernando Freitas

Firm also recently promoted seven associate directors and a new branch director

Omnium International has elevated Dubai branch director Fernando Freitas to its main board. Freitas is said to have joined the firm in July 2014 and has led the cost management of ITHRA Dubai’s One Za’abeel development since the early concept stage, as well as providing support to the firm’s team at ITHRA’s Deira Enrichment Development.

According to a statement, One Za’abeel is a complex development and during his tenure, Freitas has managed challenges with a professional, pragmatic and visionary style, consistently going above and beyond to evolve his team’s services and ensuring that Omnium supports its client at the highest level.

“With the recent significant growth of Omnium in the region, promoting Fernando to the main board is recognition of his loyalty, hard work and his vision for Omnium’s future. Fernando’s excellent leadership, people management and client facing skills, paired with his energy, enthusiasm and continued drive to evolve and better the business give the board the utmost confidence that he will add considerable strength to the overall management of the company,” said Omnium International’s chairman, Peter Westeng.

Freitas’ promotion is said to follow the recent promotion of seven new associate directors and a further branch director across its international portfolio. The appointments include David Thorp, Dubai branch director; Celeste Tai, associate director Abu Dhabi; Sultan Alsohaibi and Ibrahim Yusuf, associate directors KSA; Alex McEvoy, Jocelyn Dote and Vinay Kumar, associate directors Dubai, and Philip Cronin, associate director of Claims & Dispute Resolution for Omnium Resolve.

Commenting on the promotions, Nicholas Harris, MD of Omnium International remarked, “I’m delighted to announce a record number of promotions within Omnium, all of whom have been with our company for a significant number of years.
