Saudi contractor MASCO (Mohammed Al Swailem Co) has purchased 162 Volvo excavators for work on the Haramain High Speed Rail project. 

Already labelled the Western Railway, the $11 billion Haramain High Speed Rail project is a 450km inter-city railway that will link Jeddah to Mecca and Medina.

According to Al-Rehab, the Volvo dealer recently acquired by FAMCO, MASCO purchased 100 EC210BLC excavators in 2011 and has followed that up with another 62 in 2012.
