Alkhorayef awarded $35m storm water maintenance contract by Jeddah Municipality
Three-year contract comes after recent seven-year contract win from National Water Company
Saudi Arabia’s Alkhorayef Water and Power Technologies Company has announced that it has been awarded a $35 million storm water maintenance contract by Jeddah Municipality.
In a statement to Tadawul, the Saudi bourse, Alkhorayef said that it will perform the works related to the maintenance and optimisation of the storm water networks and ground water level reduction networks of south and east Jeddah.
The contract will be for a three-year period, it added.
Alkhorayef has also recently won a seven-year contract from National Water Company, via one of its subsidiaries, for the operation and maintenance of the water and environmental treatment services in the central cluster of Riyadh Region.
That contract – worth $97.4 million – was clinched by Erwaa Water Company, a consortium of Alkhorayef (which has a 49% stake) and Veolia, the French water and energy management company.
