CNH has revealed that its second quarter earnings were down on 2011 to $1 billion but it did make market share gains in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The operating profit of its equipment division was down $32 million to $1.7 million.
Disappointingly weak growth in the US and Europe coupled with penalties incurred through non-favourable currency exchange rate helped slash the operating profit of its
equipment division down $32 million to $1.7 million.
However, CNH said that it did see gains in it market share via the light equipment sector in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, CIS and Asia-Pacific.
Brands under the CNH umbrella include Case, Kobelco and New Holland.
