SEWA unit announces ground gas network expansion in Kalba and Khorfakkan

112 housing projects in Kalba and Khorfakkan have been fitted with natural gas connections according to the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA). The project was implemented by SEWA’s Natural Gas Office in the Eastern Region.

According to a statement, the SEWA unit also expanded the ground gas network by 26km. In addition, it is said to have completed the first phase of the 22km-long Al Haray area in the city of Khorfakkan for the benefit of about 205 residential villas, during the period from January 1 to July 1.

Khaled Al Hosani, director of the Natural Gas Office in the Eastern Region explained that the natural gas project has witnessed great development, as more than 130km have been completed. He stated more than 560 people and 1,600 people are currently benefiting from the projects in various areas in Kalba City and Khorfakkan respectively.

Al Hosani stressed the efforts align with the directives of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, on the necessity of paying attention to infrastructure projects and providing the elements of a decent life for the people of the Emirate of Sharjah.
