Mott MacDonald and SNC Lavalin bid for Bahrain Metro project
Bids come in response to RFPs issued by Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications for enabling works design for Phase One and Phase One A of Metro project
Mott MacDonald, SNC-Lavalin Major Projects and Esbi Engineering and Facilities Management have submitted bids for the provision of consultancy services for utility diversions of the Bahrain Metro project corridor, it has been revealed.
According to the Bahrain Tender Board website, the bids come in response to the request for proposals (RFPs) issued by the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications for enabling work design for Phase One and Phase One A of the metro project.
The scope of work for the project includes planning and designing the utilities diversion conflicting the corridor and also proposing new corridors for the diverted utilities by co-ordination and approval of the relevant authorities such as Electricity and Water Authority (EWA), Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (TRA) and all relevant authorities, the website added.
Phase One of Bahrain Metro Project is approximately 28.6 km long with 20 stations, while Phase I A will be 8 km long with four stations.
