Saudi-based ICT infrastructure provider Tawal has inked partnership agreements with three in-building solutions (IBS) providers: AL Babtain LeBlanc, Bazy, and MBUZZ. Tawal said the partnerships represent an opportunity to expand its offered solutions and facilitate its reach to its clients (operators, building landlords and real estate owners), to fulfil the increasing demand on the IBS offered by leading partners and in a more competitive landscape.
The partnerships are said to align with Tawal’s role in empowering national companies and contributing to local content. The agreements were signed at Tawal Headquarters in Riyadh. Tawal was represented by CEO Mohammed Alhakbani, who was joined by AL Babtain LeBlanc general manager, Saleh Albedaiwi, Bazy deputy general manager, Mohammad Dahlan and MBUZZ chairman Nawaf Al Shammari.
According to a statement, Tawal’s IBS is a next-generation solution with an innovative business model and cost-effective technology that extends and distributes high-speed data services indoors and within public buildings, contributing to an enhanced customer experience.
“There is increasing demand for in-building wireless solutions that offer high-speed connectivity in high-density public buildings including airports, malls, hospitals, hotels, universities, governmental and commercial buildings. As per recent studies, currently, 80% of all mobile network traffic is from indoors. Through those partnerships, we seek to meet the increasing demand for IBS, in addition to providing the latest technologies supported by multiple and flexible options for our clients,” said Tawal’s chief commercial officer Abdulrahman Al Moaiqel.
The statement noted that the partnerships come in pursual of Tawal’s constant development of innovative ICT solutions, including IBS as part of its product portfolio. The product development follows a benchmarking exercise on IBS solutions offered by other international tower companies, the firm explained.
