Madayn says $7.7mn Facility Building to be complete by mid-2022

Free zone committee meeting also discussed several other projects that Madayn is implementing as well as business since the start of the year

Oman’s Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn) said that construction work is progressing on its $7.7m Facility Building. The commercial project is located within the Al Mazunah Free Zone and will feature office space, exhibition space and commercial stores, and is expected to be complete by mid-2022.

Company officials at the Al Mazunah Free Zone Committee meeting noted that construction recently began on the project, and said that the ground and first floors have already been completed. Construction work is now underway on the second floor of the building.

The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Madayn CEO Hilal bin Hamad Al Hasani and reviewed several topics related to ongoing projects that are being implemented by Madayn including the Facility Building. The meeting also highlighted major indicators and commercial movement witnessed by Al Mazunah Free Zone since the beginning of 2021.

Al Hasani noted that volume of goods in the free zone touched 35,481 tonnes and the number of vehicles entering the free zone amounted to 962. The free zone also signed investment agreements with six companies, and an area of 6,569sqm had been leased out by investors and business owners.
