Jeddah-based Medco is enjoying a successful Construction Machinery Show and has completed sales across its range of international brands.
Medco distributes names such as Putzmeister, Sandvik, Terex, Gehl, Dynapac, Sullair and Genie in the Kingdom.
The company enjoyed a particularly successful third day at the event, which runs between 22-25 April, selling a number of machines including Gehl 4240 skid steers, Dynapac pavers and an Atlas Copco hand roller. The company has also sold a Terex TLB820 backhoe.
Amr Sami, sales engineer for Medco, said that dealers have been approaching the distributor looking for new technology that can help them to stand out in an increasingly competitive environment.
“The Dynapac paver can do 60cm,” said Sami. “It is not common here, nobody has one. When they see it, they want it. The deals are good indicator. These are new customers that haven’t come to just watch the show.”
