SRTI Park announces opening of new headquarters

Opening by HH Dr. Sheikh Sultan aligned with the UAE’s 49th National Day

The Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park (SRTI Park)’s new headquarters has been opened by His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

The offices were said to be designed according to best practices and the highest international standards in modern technology parks.

According to a statement, the SRTI Park’s world-class infrastructure and services provides an environment beneficial to creativity and innovation. The innovation ecosystem within the park promotes R&D and supports enterprise activities with triple helix collaboration among the industry, government, and academia.

Following the opening, CEO Hussain Al Mahmoudi shed light on the technology park’s most prominent accomplishments, future plans, the regional and international companies at SRTI Park, and their research projects that provide solutions and innovations in various fields.

The SRTI Park houses several facilities including the Sharjah Open Innovation Lab (SoiLAB); the biggest 3D printing exhibition in the Middle East; Immensa, an additive manufacturing specialist company; Skypods and autonomous driving, a 2.5km-long suspended track; 2GetThere, which has begun the pilot phase of its autonomous vehicle operation and Merlin Agrotunnel, an aquaponics farm.

It also boasts Civil Twin Renewable Middle East, a renewable energy consultancy company; Nabta Women’s Health; VirtuE R&D, a company specialising in the development of AI application for psychology; and Exoskeleton, a developer of smart assistive exoskeletons for the rehabilitation of stroke patients.
