Bahrain has awarded a major contract to Abdullah Al Muhanna Contracting Company and Partners to develop the 234-unit Wadi Al Sail Housing Project, which is being financed by the GCC Development Programme.
According to a report by BNA, the project is likely to be completed by mid-2022 and will be a significant step towards the implementation of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s order to build 40,000 housing units.
The contracts were signed in the presence of Housing Ministry’s Undersecretary Shaikh Khalid bin Hmoud Al Khalifa and Salman Al-Jasser, the representative of the Saleh Abdullah Al Muhanna Contracting Company and Partners, and other senior officials, the report added.
Shaikh Khalid added that the Wadi Al Sail Housing Project reflects the keenness of the government, led by HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and supported by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, to provide decent housing for Bahraini citizens, in accordance with the highest levels of quality.
