Museum of the Future achieves new milestone

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, on Saturday attended a ceremony marking the final phase of construction of the Museum of the Future. He witnessed the attachment of the final piece of the structure’s façade.

“The Museum of the Future will bespeak urban excellence upon its completion,” he said while observing the Museum’s progress. He was also briefed on the key design techniques, architectural styles and state-of-the-art solutions wielded in accomplishing the cultural landmark.

“The Museum of the Future represents a global architectural and engineering icon that will be harnessed to build human miracles capable of using the museum to shape a better future,” HH Sheikh Mohammed added. “We are not after architectural wonders, but we rather seek to unleash human potential to create a better future that abounds in miracles and testifies to the remarkable achievements made by the UAE. Dubai will continue to deliver architectural masterpieces as the world continues to be in progress for those who know exactly what they want,” he continued.

“We are working according to the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid… Always seeking excellence and leadership. Today we stand before one of the most innovative buildings in the world. A testament to Dubai and the UAE’s leadership in creative design, engineering, and architectural uniqueness,” HH Sheikh Mohammed concluded.

HH Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied during his tour of the museum by HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dubai Future Foundation; HH Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai; and Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Cabinet Member and Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dubai Future Foundation, and the Managing Director of the Dubai Future Foundation.
